Last weekend the Mathews family (Josh's sister Caroliene and her husband Travis) came to visit!  We were so happy they made the trip and we loved having them!  We roasted marshmallows in the backyard.
Caleb is so funny!  He was really enjoying the s'mores!
We went and saw the sinks and the rise in Sinks Canyon in the morning.

Then we went back that night to hike to the Popo Agie Falls.

Ava got a little lazy so Josh "pulled" her up.
Caleb thought it was a good idea so he held on too!

We are so glad they came to visit and hope they will find a house soon!
Today we went with the Johnstones and Johnsons to Martin's Cove.

For some reason most of the families we know have lots of girls!  Our girls loved it and were so good (Ava, most of the time) on the long drive and hike to the Cove.
Josh, Josey and Ava pulling the handcart.  George and Linda are in the background.
Josh and Abi pulling Ruby and Cate.
So before we started our "Trek" we watched a video in the visitors center about a 13 year old boy and his hardships through the Martin handcart company's snowy experience.  Ruby was then terrified to go on our little "trek."  She was so worried we were going to get cold and stuck in the snow like the boy.  It was close to 90 degrees and she had nothing to worry about but she was very nervous! So cute!!
In the end Mitch and Josh pulled the cart with a little help from the girls.  On the way back they pulled the cart with all 5 girls in it at one point!  What good dads!  We had a terrific time and learned so much about the area and the handcart companies experiences.  The girls learned a little perseverance because it was a long and hot trail!  Thanks everyone for a great day!
